Summer 2021
Competed at the 2021 United States World Team Trials and made it to the finals at 61kg with wins over former world bronze medalist Joe Colon, and former NCAA champion Nick Suriano. Claimed second and made the US National Team at 61kg.
Competed at the 2020ne United States Olympic Team Trials in April, and claimed third place. Became an Olympic Alternate and a member of the U.S. National Team at 57kg for the second time in his career.
2019-20
Competed at the 2019 Bill Farrell International in November at 57kg, and captured a silver medal in the tournament
Claimed silver at the 2019 US Open, senior level tournament in December. Went 4-1 in the tournament. Outscoring my opponents 40-10. Qualified for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials in April.
Claimed second at the Cerra Palado International in Havana, Cuba in February, 2020. Went toe to toe with a former 2x U23 World Champion and national team member from Cuba in the Finals
2017-18 (Redshirt Senior)
• Represented just the 15th wrestler in Big Ten history to capture four individual conference crowns (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018)
• Alongside Bo Jordan and Kyle Snyder, became the first teammate trio in NCAA history to each earn their fourth All-American status in the same season
• Placed third at the NCAA Championships, downing four nationally-ranked opponents
• Registered a season record of 16-2 with four major decisions, four tech falls and two pins
• Nearly 70 percent of his victories (11 of 16) came over top-20 foes (seven top-10 triumphs)
• Wrestled the entire college season with a torn ACL, suffered while wrestling at the U.S. U23 World Team Trials Finals in Rochester, MN in October
SUMMER/Fall 2017
Competed at the 2017 U.S. Open in May, and captured bronze at 57kg; qualified for the U.S. World Team Trials.
Made his first United States Senior National Team in June, placing third with a 3-1 showing at the 2017 World Team Trials in Lincoln, Neb.
Became the Ion Corneanu Champion at 57kg in Bucharest, Romania, while representing U.S.A. in July, 2017.
Captured a silver medal at the Medved International (Minsk, Belarus) in August, 2017.
Took silver at the USA U23 World Team Trials in Rochester, MN in October.
2016-17 (Redshirt Junior)
• Big Ten Champion at 133 lbs., just the third three-time conference champion in school history
• Defeated second-seeded Cory Clark of Iowa in the Big Ten finals, 5-4
• Third place at NCAA Championships
• Was 24-1 overall and 13-1 against ranked opponents
• CKLV Invitational champion, the second title of his career
• 11-0 in duals and 9-0 against Big Ten opponents
• Won 11 of his matches via bonus points (six major decision, four technical falls, one fall)
• Big Ten Wrestler of the Week following 12-4 major decision over No. 4 Zane Richards of Illinois and No. 3 Eric Montoya on Nebraska

2015-16 (Redshirt Sophomore)
• Won his second straight Big Ten championships
• Third place at the NCAA Championships and earned All-American honors for the second consecutive year
• Finished 27-1 with 18 wins via bonus points (eight major decisions, seven tech falls, three falls)
• Beat Penn State’s Nico Megaludis 3-1 (SV-1) in the Big Ten finals
• Won his first 25 matches of the season and 44 in the row dating back to the 2014-15 season
• Big Ten Wrestler of the Week on Nov. 3 after defeating Zeke Moisey of West Virginia at the NWCA All-Star Classic

• NCAA and Big Ten champion at 125 lbs.
• Finished season with an overall record of 33-4, including 8-1 against Big Ten competition during the regular season

• At the NCAA championships, defeated the top seeded and previously unbeaten Alan Waters of Missouri in the semifinals and then topped Zeke Moisey of West Virginia in the finals

• At the Big Ten championships, upset two-time NCAA champion Jesse Delgado is the semifinals and edged Iowa’s Thomas Gilman in the finals, 3-2, avenging an earlier loss to Gilman during the regular season
